Our team has been super busy preparing our new R&D and production site during the summer 2022. But we have good news to share!
We just got great news that the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency granted our new €0.8M project on the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of ferro-concrete and steel constructions at wind energy parks. However, the long term objective of the project is much wider. The world is full of aging ferro-concrete resulting in catastrophic events like collapses of buildings and bridges. New technology is urgently needed as the current technologies have their serious limitations.
The grant is supporting the new arising technology and business line at GScan. In the project, we are collaborating with Teede Tehnokeskus AS and Enefit Green AS. In the project, GScan will develop the methodology and a prototype system based on natural atmospheric radiation for the NDT.
The device will be tested in the lab and in the real conditions at the wind energy parks of Enefit Green AS. The developed technology and the future systems have much wider applicability: the NDT of critical structures at bridges, buildings, large industrial constructions and equipment. Teede Tehnokeskus AS, an engineering company focusing on the quality and safety assessment of bridges and roads, will provide their valuable expertise on ferro-concrete and steel structures in this project.
